Our Story

Regratifying Foundation is a new 501 (c) (3) organization located in Northern Virginia.  Our focus is to encourage foster care youth to continue their education, learn about and consider professional careers and set future personal and career goals before they age out or emancipate from foster care. We are very passionate about our new program because we want foster care youth to reach their full potential, so that they can thrive after foster care.

Our story begins in 2017 when Ramon Montes, Founder, met a foster care alumni who beat the odds by graduating from college and having a successful career in Washington, D.C. After meeting this gentleman, Ramon began to explore the success rate of foster care youth. Ramon researched and was really saddened to find out that only 65% of foster care youth complete high school and less than 10% graduate from college.  He was inspired, moved and energized to help these youth to have a successful life after foster care, so he created a program with the help of the Board of Directors to encourage foster care youth to think about and plan for their future.

Ramon is no stranger to foster care because in 2012, he became a foster parent.  The following year he adopted his son Tommy from foster care and became a family.
